Mobility & Sports Therapy

Over the years a CrossFit ATR we have noticed that most new members who attend Group Classes arrive
with some variation of Mobility restrictions. Our daily patterns such as sitting at a desk for work or driving long distances lead into tight hips, lack of shoulder mobility, and many other muscle/joint/connective tissues/motor control imbalances. Mobility restrictions are the biggest factor keeping you from fitness goals or as simple as a pain free lifestyle. And fixing those restrictions will unblock your power and keep you from getting hurt.

Most people can’t use their joints’ full range of motion, and don’t have very good joint stability. That’s okay – it’s part of modern life. However our goal is to teach you how to address those issues. Our program has Mobility and Physical therapy built into its warmups and recovery workouts. Addressing each athletes Range of Motion limitations will begin in our Foundations program (link to foundations) and will continue each day in our Group Classes.

But if you want to excel in a high-performance sport like CrossFit, you need to fix your mobility restrictions. As you do you’ll see serious improvements in your training, including better PRs, easier reps, and fuller recovery.

For all injuries requiring a specialist, ATR has two of the best in the business to help you! Check out Kelley Schlager and Claudia Chaloner for more info.
