Mel Christie – CrossFit Coach

A northern California native, Mel grew up with a dance background and didn’t discover CrossFit until this year. A cancer survivor, she has felt at one with the ATR community who has gone above and beyond to help athletes going through tough times. She is more than excited to utilize the skills developed throughout her career and personal experiences to further help clients reach and exceed their fitness goals. Mel is willing to try anything from low to high intensity, the bigger the challenge, the more fun it is when she’s with a group of people. Thanks to CrossFit, she feels her strongest and healthiest today. Outside of the gym, she enjoys anything outdoorsy with her husband, Bob, and their two dogs, Sal and Sammy, and having a backyard BBQ with their friends. Mel’s favorite exercise is anything that includes a squat. “CrossFit is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But it’s also the most rewarding thing I could ever do. I’m able to do things I didn’t think I could do after cancer treatments. I see the best version of myself when I’m at ATR because I’m part of this huge family who does nothing but support you.”
